Eugene Therapists
Madeline Fehlman
Professional Counselor Associate
I am a professional counselor associate working towards full licensure. I grew up in the Portland area and have lived in Eugene for the past seven years. I enjoy going on walks, playing video games, and listening to music. I have always found fulfillment in caring for and helping others, and I love seeing clients improve their own lives. I believe that everyone has an innate sense of wisdom regarding who they are and what is best for them. My job as a counselor is to guide each person on their unique journey to rediscover that wisdom.
Madeline's Approach
I use an integrative approach with a person-centered foundation, which means I hold each client in positive regard and strive to create an environment of safety and authenticity. I choose interventions based on individual clients’ needs and preferences. I am most familiar with attachment theory and polyvagal theory, and I often use interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and the Gottman method. I am also learning more about internal family systems (IFS) and love to explore it with clients.
