Emma Haase

Professional Counselor Associate

I’m someone who’s deeply interested in how people come to know themselves- how our experiences, relationships, and the world around us shape the way we think, feel, and move through life.

I love working with people who are reflective, curious, and often navigating a lot internally. You might find yourself overthinking, questioning your identity, feeling disconnected from yourself, or unsure who to trust- especially when it comes to your own thoughts, emotions, and decisions.

A lot of the people I work with are in the process of figuring out who they are outside of expectations- whether that’s within relationships, identity, LGBTQ+ identity, or the broader culture we’re living in. My goal is to create a space where you can explore all of that openly, without pressure to have it all figured out.

Emma's Approach

At the core of my work is helping you rebuild trust with yourself. Many people come into therapy feeling disconnected from their intuition- second-guessing their emotions, questioning their needs, or feeling pulled in different directions. Together, we slow that down, explore where those patterns came from, and help you reconnect with your inner voice.

I take a holistic, relational, and non-pathologizing approach. Rather than seeing your struggles as simply something to fix, I view them as meaningful responses to your experiences- especially within the context of the world we live in. Culture, identity, relationships, and systems all shape us, and I think it’s important to explore that openly.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, identity shifts, relationship patterns, nervous system overwhelm, or just the emotional complexity of being human, I aim to meet you with both curiosity and care. I appreciate exploring both the science and the soul of healing, and I enjoy working with people open to exploring the deeper, messy, and meaningful parts of their inner world.

I integrate person-centered therapy, somatic awareness, parts-based work, and transpersonal perspectives – exploring different parts of yourself, how emotions show up in your body, or reflecting on questions about identity, purpose, and the kind of life you want to create.

Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and real. I’ll meet you with compassion, but I’ll also gently challenge you when needed – always with the intention of helping you move toward a version of yourself that feels more aligned, grounded, and yours.

More About Emma Haase

Experience

My clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults across a range of settings, including both telehealth and more intensive levels of care. I’ve supported clients navigating anxiety, emotional intensity, identity exploration, and life transitions, along with experience working within an eating disorder treatment setting.

Through this work, I’ve developed a way of showing up that’s both grounded and flexible- able to go deeper when needed while also meeting clients exactly where they are. I incorporate environment-based and creative approaches, which naturally shape how I connect with clients.

I hold a Bachelors in Psychology from Iowa State University, and received my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University
