Elyssa Calderon

Professional Counselor Associate

Hi, my name is Elyssa Calderon, and I’m a Professional Counselor Associate in the beautiful state of Oregon. At my core, I deeply value connection and believe that healing begins when we feel truly understood. Outside of therapy, I’m passionate about animals and enjoy volunteering at shelters. I love being in nature and staying active. I’m always learning something new—whether it’s languages, experimenting with recipes, or exploring topics in psychology. Curious by nature, I seek new perspectives through books, conversations, and everyday experiences.

Elyssa's Approach

My approach to therapy starts with seeing you as a human first. I believe healing can come from being truly seen and heard.I work with Emotionally Focused Therapy and have specialized training in couples EFT. I also draw on attachment work and relational approaches. This means our relationship in therapy can be a space for healing, where you can explore attachment wounds, emotional or relational patterns, and parts of yourself that need care. I also use parts work (IFS-informed) which can help you connect with and heal different aspects of yourself.I am currently in consultation for EMDR training to expand my trauma-focused work. At the same time, If you prefer practical tools or strategies, I can bring in CBT or ACT techniques to support your goals.
