Lauren Morton
Professional Counselor Associate
My name is Lauren Morton, Professional Counseling Associate. I deeply admire the courage, vulnerability, and intention for personal growth involved in seeking counseling. I believe every individual holds inherent worth and meaningful strengths, which I strive to recognize and nurture through our work together. I am passionate about supporting clients as they gently explore and embrace their authentic selves, sense of meaning, guiding principles, and mind–body attunement in pursuit of a fulfilling life.
Lauren's Approach
I aspire to provide a warm, trusting, and inclusive therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to collaborate in the creation of goals and techniques that reflect their personal values, interests, and needs. My approach is grounded in Person-Centered Theory, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and the understanding that the client is the expert of their own life. I also integrate elements of Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to thoughtfully tailor counseling to each client’s unique concerns.
